Hybrid Automobiles vs. Gasoline Price Increase
I'm sure we would all come to an agreement that as the current gasoline prices continue on their way up that right now is the absolute best time to be buying or at least considering purchasing a hybrid automobile. I have been a Toyota Prius owner for the past three years now and I can honestly say that it was a very good investment. When I first purchased it at a whopping $21,000.00 the media was saying that it would take many years to see a savings on the initial investment but now with gasoline closing in on a $4.00 a gallon price tag many are now kicking themselves in the butt for not buying then. Just to give you and idea on the demand for hybrids I recently heard that in addition to having a 2 month waiting list many dealerships are now increasing the price tag upwards of $3,000.00 to $10,000.00 because they have the car available and on the lot. They use the term " MARKET VALUE ADJUSTMENT" and in many cases the average is $4,995.00. THAT is in addition to the retail price of the car. WOW!
